Bar Staff
Bar staff work in licensed premises such as pubs, clubs, bars and hotels. Their primary function is to serve customers with drinks and collect payment. They may also take orders for and serve snacks or other food, help clean and stock the bar or help with promotions and special events. Bar work is a highly customer-facing role and a key part of the role of bar staff is to ensure a welcoming, friendly and safe atmosphere.

Buyer
Buyers are responsible for choosing and sourcing the stock which the outlets of their retail organisation will sell. They are expected to understand the market and product ranges to be able to make choices which will maximize the sales and profit of their ranges / department or store. Buyers will usually start in a Junior Buying role or a support/administrative role within the buying department.
